As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we have chosen to be married in the Orlando Temple, one of more than 150 temples of the Church throughout the world.
For Time and All Eternity
In the temple, we will be married not just 'Til Death Do [Us] Part,' but 'For Time and All Eternity' - a distinction which will have a large role in the future of our marriage and our family. This change in wording goes beyond the promises that we will make to each other; it results from authority held by the marriage officiator to "bind in heaven what is bound on earth" (see Matt. 16:19). As we approach decisions and difficult times in our marriage, the knowledge that our marriage will last through the eternities will provide an anchor and a guide to help us make it through.
Who Can Enter The Temple
Because of its sacred nature, only worthy members of the LDS Church are permitted to enter the temple. This is not due to any particularly secret happenings within the temple, but instead to the sacred nature of The House of The Lord. Those not able to attend the marriage within the temple are welcome to wait in the temple foyer for us to exit, at which time group pictures will be taken. We will also be holding a reception and ring ceremony that evening for any and all of our friends and family who wish to attend. We will also be holding a reception in Mesa, Arizona for those out west. Click the "Times & Places" link on the left for more information.
